🌟 Why You'll Love This Recipe

It's easy to make. All you need to do is pour a few ingredients into a champagne flute.
It's so elegant. Just look at it! Maybe it's the champagne flute, but it's pretty!
It tastes great. This drink is bubbly and lightly sweet.

💭 What is a Chambord Kir Royale?

This drink is a riff on the Kir Royale, which is a riff on the Kir. Let's start with talking about what a Kir cocktail is.

A Kir is a cocktail made from dry white wine and crème de cassis (a blackcurrant liqueur). It dates back to the 19th century.

A Kir Royale is a cocktail made from champagne and crème de cassis.

Now, we get to the Chambord Kir Royale. For this drink, we use champagne (or other bubbles) and Chambord liqueur.

🔴 What is Chambord?

Chambord is a liqueur produced in the Loire Valley of France. It's made of raspberries and black raspberries, has a beautiful vibrant color, and sweet flavor. It also comes in a distinctive spherical bottle.

📝 Ingredients

Only THREE of them! You'd be hard pressed to find an easier drink to put together.

  • Chambord - It's a really delicious raspberry liquer!
  • Bubbly - Use whatever you prefer here. I usually end up using Prosecco, mostly because it's very affordable.
  • Orange twist - A little twist of orange peel really makes everything pop.

👩🏻‍🍳 How to make a Chambord Kir Royale

It almost couldn't be easier.

Start by pouring your Chambord into the bottom of a champagne flute. Top that off with bubbles.

After that, if you're feeling fancy (and you are), garnish your drink with an orange twist.

🕔 When should I drink this cocktail?

Basically, any time you feel like it 😉

I think it's pretty perfect for New Year's Eve, though. It's got bubbly in it (the traditional drink with which to toast), but is elevated just a bit with the addition of Chambord.

You do you, though. Sip on one of these bad boys whenever the urge strikes!

❓ FAQs

What kind of bubbly should I use?

Use your favorite! You can use champagne, prosecco, cava, etc. I usually use prosecco.

What is Chambord?

Chambord is a raspberry liqueur produced in the Loire Valley in France. It's sweet and fruity, and comes in a distinctive spherical bottle.

What can I substitute for Chambord?

Framboise or crème de cassis would make good substitutes. It won't be a Chambord Kir Royale, but it will still be tasty.
