Ingredients

  • 1 oz coffee liqueur such as Kahlúa
  • 0.5 oz Irish cream liqueur such as Bailey's

Instructions

  • Pour the coffee liqueur into a shot glass.
  • Hold a bar spoon (or teaspoon) upside down at an angle (approximately 45 degrees) such that the tip of the spoon is just about touching the side of the shot glass and is resting on the surface of the coffee liqueur.
  • Slowly pour the Irish cream liqueur over the back of the spoon, creating a distinct layer of Irish cream floating on the coffee liqueur.

Notes

  • These shots get their name from the fact that they look like a miniature pint of Guinness beer
