Mint Juleps

  • ¼ oz simple syrup, see notes
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 2 oz bourbon
  • sprig of mint, for garnish
  1. Gently muddle the simple syrup and mint leaves in the bottom of a julep cup (or rocks glass)

  2. Add the bourbon and stir

  3. Top with lots of crushed ice, mounding it over on the top

  4. Add the spring of mint for garnish
