These hot chocolate cookies with chocolate chips are a chewy, sweet, edible version of hot chocolate!
These cookies are a surefire way to please your sweet tooth. You get two kinds of chocolate chips, hot chocolate mix IN. THE. COOKIES. PLUS tiny little marshmallows. Honestly, what’s not to love?
I haven’t done it, but wonder what would happen if you dunked one of these guys into a steaming mug of hot chocolate… It would be the hot chocolate version of Inception. Mental note: must try this.

- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 oz. hot chocolate mix
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 16 tbs unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup marshmallow bits
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a medium bow, whisk together the flour, hot chocolate mix, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugars together. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well between additions. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Little by little, add the dry ingredients to the wet, until everything is well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Mix in the chocolate chips and marshmallow bits.
Using a cookie scoop, drop dough by the tablespoon onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 14 minutes, or until the edges are firm.
Allow the cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to finish cooling completely.
