Happy Halloween, everyone!! Here’s a quick and easy treat that you can share with others.
I found this recipe on the blog Lauren’s Latest.
- 1 box brownie mix (I used Ghirardelli Double Chocolate)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup oil
- (2) 4 oz. white chocolate bars (I used Lindt)
- 6-8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 4 tbs butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Halloween Oreos, chopped
- Halloween sprinkles
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease an 8 x 8-inch pan and set aside.
Mix the brownie mix, egg, water, and oil in a bowl. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
Lay the white chocolate bars, side by side, on top of the brownie batter.
Pour the remaining batter over top of the chocolate bars. Bake according to the directions on the box. Once the brownies are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool completely.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, cream the butter, cream cheese, and vanilla extract together. Add the powdered sugar and incorporate slowly at first, increasing the speed once the sugar is mostly incorporated.
Frost the brownies with the cream cheese frosting and top with chopped Halloween Oreos and black and orange sprinkles.
You can customize these for different holidays, too, if you’d like. Christmas-themed Oreos, anyone?
