The Perfect Pomegranate Margarita

Not to toot my own horn but, you know… beep beep.  These margaritas are delicious and deadly.  I learned the basic method from my friend, Emily, and have adapted it for this recipe.

You’ll need:

  • 2 oz. tequila (I used Costco brand añejo, but whatever type or brand you like will work)
  • Splash of water
  • 2 oz. pomegranate juice
  • Squirt of lime juice
  • Agave nectar, to taste
  • Ice
  • Optional: margarita salt or sugar, for rimming glasses

In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, water, juices, agave nectar, and a few ice cubes.  Shake well.  Strain into a rocks glass with ice and (preferably) a salted rim.
