Simple Sesame-Peanut Noodles

This recipe was adapted from the Simple Sesame Noodles in The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food from My Frontier.

Sesame Peanut Noodles

You’ll need:

  • 12 oz. thin noodles, like angel hair, spaghetti, or lo mein
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbs rice vinegar
  • 2 tbs sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce (or more, if you like things spicier)
  • 3 tbs canola oil
  • 2-3 tbs peanut butter
  • Optional mix-ins: edamame, shrimp, chicken, green onions, sesame seeds

Cook the pasta according to package directions.  Drain and then return to the pot in which it was cooked.

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, hot sauce, canola oil, and peanut butter.  Whisk to combine.

Pour over the cooked noodles and stir to coat evenly.

Stir in anything else you’d like to add.  Eat!
