Kentucky Mule

Happy Thirsty Thursday, everyone!   The winner of the Fee Brothers bitters giveaway is… Rachel Bouchard!  Who said this about her favorite cocktail: “Big fan of a Moscow mule currently, only when served in a copper mug though!”  Congratulations, Rachel!

I came across this (originally nameless) cocktail on the blog The Tampopo Press.  A friend, Brian, gets credit for coming up with the fabulously appropriate name “Kentucky Mule”.

I’m especially excited to share this one with you because I find it to be particularly delicious.  The ginger beer keeps the bourbon-apple cider combo from being too sweet, and actually makes it a bit spicy.  It really hits the spot.
