Ginger Pimm’s Cup + {A Giveaway!}

Happy Thirsty Thursday, everyone!!  I can’t tell you how good it feels to be on the mend, and back in the kitchen.  A week of eating nothing but canned soup and mozzarella sticks (don’t ask) gets old pretty fast.

This recipe came from the My Year in Cocktails (John Cusimano) portion of the My Year in Meals, by Rachael Ray.

You’ll need:

  • 3 oz. Pimm’s No. 1
  • 6 oz. ginger ale
  • 4 or 5 slices peeled seedless cucumber, plus 1 spear for garnish
  • dash of grapefruit bitters

Stir all of the ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Strain into an ice-filled glass/mug. Garnish with a cucumber spear (if you remember, unlike me).

Now for the giveaway!

It’s not much, but I’m giving away three different flavors of bitters.  You’ll get your standard aromatic variety, lemon, and mint, all made by Fee Brothers.  You can use them to start mixing up your own delicious cocktails!

  1. My favorite cocktall is a gin and tonic (boring, I know). Now that I’m pregnant and can’t drink, there’s not much that sounds as delicious. I’ve also never used bitters, so this is an awesome giveaway!

  2. I am sooooo glad you are starting to feel better! The flu map (it’s an actual thing!) shows Maryland as being icky and flu-ish… And so glad you posted this too! I love your thirsty Thursdays! I’d have to say my favorite cocktail is a mojito but that’s just because I have fresh berries on the brain… I guess I’m longing for berry season and warmer weather. 🙂

  4. Hope you are feeling better! 🙂 I’m currently a fan of vodka and pink lemonade, but love trying new recipes! Thanks for sharing!
